With just two days to go before the launch of one of the most anticipated family events of the July/August vacation, organizers of the 2019 RBL Decibel Entertainment Festival, are sounding the alarm that this year’s installment will exceed expectations.

Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s, will be transformed into an entertainment hub from July 5-7, as patrons are expected to turn out in their thousands to attend the festival, which boasts over a dozen attractions, top performers and a star-studded cast, including Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass) from the hit CW series, Gossip Girl, and actress Inbar Lavi who dominates as ‘Eve’ in the popular show, Lucifer.

For the sixth consecutive year, communications solutions provider, bmobile, has joined forces with Question Mark Entertainment for Decibel; a carefully curated event designed to elevate arts and entertainment in Trinidad and Tobago while promoting the many career opportunities that exist within the industry.

Marsha Caballero, TSTT’s Senior Manager Corporate Communications stated, “bmobile has witnessed Decibel evolve from a one day event into a fully-fledged, three day affair that is now one of the fastest growing, family oriented events in the country. The Festival not only fosters youth development but it has created a much needed platform for local creative talent and the spirit of entrepreneurship can shine and thrive.”

“bmobile’s support for the arts has always been top-of-mind as we are fully committed to doing our part in moving Trinidad and Tobago forward in all spheres,” reiterated Caballero.

This year bmobile will once again present two of the Festival’s most sought after attractions – The spine chilling bmobile Zombie Island, dubbed ‘Farewell to the Flesh’, and ‘Trapped’, a bmobile Escape Room experience and team building exercise that challenges patrons to think outside the box.

Simon Baptiste, Festival Director and CEO of Question Mark Entertainment, describes Decibel as “not just an event but an experience.” He says patrons can look forward to live concert performances from some of soca’s biggest stars, including Kes the band, Nailah Blackman and Ravi B, alongside Jamaican dancehall artistes, Ding Dong and Red Rat.

Attendees can also visit the selfie museum, be treated to a world of new fashion and trends at Fashion U or browse through the merchandise center, featuring a Korean Town experience, which caters for everything from specialty cuisine to K-Pop merchandise. Lucky patrons will also walk away with cash and prizes at the festival’s open talent show and events in music, cosplay and dance.
